Throughout the eight-week course we learned valuable insights to so many aspects of running our business, including how to evaluate contracts to determine if they are right for us (because as you know, “all contracts are not good contracts”), to evaluating a client to make sure it’s a good fit for our business. I could go on and on regarding each session and the key elements of the class that were helpful, each week packed with important information. For us, the class that really stood out included the class on managing contracts, particularly as it relates to understanding the payment process, retainage, change order requirements, and termination provisions. Understanding these processes will be tremendous for us moving forward. The last class was especially valuable as well, having the opportunity to hear from and have dialogue with proven Construction industry leaders such as Turner Construction and Austin Commercial was simply the icing on the cake.

Their professionalism throughout the process, and their ability to make every session interesting and informative, made attending the sessions something to look forward to each week.
