If You Are NOT Backing Up Your Computer...Why Not?

When it comes to losing computer data, Murphy's Law will always prevail:  If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong and at the worst possible time.

Whether it is your nephew's first birthday photos, your client's wedding photos, email, office documents, client documents, tax returns, police records or Captain Kirk's data on the Enterprise, everyone needs to know that their data is safe, replicated and stored in a location other than your main computer or server..

The bottom line is that technology-computers, smart phones, ipods and more are an integral part of our lives.

Machines break and the reality is that our technology based lives are stored on machines that will can get a destructive virus, just get old, or stop functioning at any given time. It is not a question of if but when, hard drives (store your data) will break and when they do not having a backup can be disastrous.

The best defense is data backup software. Backing up data is vital for businesses; lost information can cause a major crisis or worse, lead to business failure. Individuals who don't backup computer data run the same risk. While this may not cause financial ruin, it can certainly be frustrating and even heartbreaking. So why do so few of us practice data backup?

We all have many reasons (excuses) why we don't back up (properly).

"I'm too busy to backup my computer."  If you don't back-up your systems, you will be even busier attempting to recover your data.

"I don't know how to backup data."  There are many easy, well priced, and effective solutions for personal and business use.
