Fuel Cells
George Dallas, PhD. of Carroll International presented his research on Fuel Cells to DEFTECH last week. Dr. Dallas briefly discussed strategy for incorporating hydrogen based fuel cells in to a green energy future. His presentation also covered the strengths and limitations of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells. Fuel cells are a great green energy alternative which uses H2O2 instead of fossil fuels and it's only byproduct is water! When powered by renewable energy, this onsite energy production can be used in a wide variety of vehicles. There are already several applications of this technology such as telecommunication systems, forklifts, drones and cars. The expansion of fuel cell powered technology can greatly impact the world as we know it!
