Former Mayor Harold "Andy" Anderson Passes Away
Served as Mayor from 1984-2005
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of former longtime Mayor Harold "Andy" Anderson. He passed away on Wednesday at the age of 81 and his survived by his wife, Sue, children and grandchildren. Andy served on the City Council from 1978 to 1984 and served as La Vista's Mayor from 1984 to 2005. He was the cornerstone of the community and Andy was known for both his conversational nature as well as his drive to get things done for his City. He was well-known and well-loved by many here in La Vista and across the state and he will be missed. Rest in peace, Andy.

Critical Blood Supply Shortage
Consider donating blood!
Our partners at the American Red Cross Serving Nebraska and Southwest Iowa has reached out about an urgent need they have for blood donations.

While it may seem a little counter-intuitive to encourage people to go to public locations right now, consider this: blood drives have the highest standards of safety and infection control and they are exempt from the current public gathering limits.
