SEE ME. HEAR ME. BELIEVE IN ME: Vote for Your Favorite Entry
We think the best way to celebrate International Day Of The Girl is to give girls their voice and share their expressions with the world. So we created I AM AN AFRICAN GIRL – a contest with a BIG prize. GSGC girls club members submitted original songs, poetry, drawings and dance and recitation videos, all to express what it means to be a girl in Africa.  The girl whose piece receives the most votes wins a mobile smart phone – a rare and beneficial commodity for a girl in Southern Africa. Girls with entries that receive the most votes per category each win $25.

This is where you come in. From today through Friday, Oct. 11, “donate to vote” for as many entries as you'd like, or vote more than once to help your favorite entry win. Share the contest with your friends and family and encourage them to vote. One vote costs $35, and the price per vote goes down the more votes you make. By participating, you have the power to help our girls in Southern Africa feel seen, heard and believed in ...and that has a tremendous ripple effect.
Two Campaigns. Two Timelines.
One Goal: Changing Lives, One Girl At A Time.
Global Sojourns Giving Circle is busy in October. The end of the month is the end of our fiscal year, which makes September and October our most active and important fundraising period. At the same time, Aunties and Mentors submit their proposals and funding requests for the coming year.

Annual renewals provide GSGC with the majority of its funding year over year. If you haven’t already, thank you for renewing, and maybe increasing, your annual donation before October 31. Your generous support will help GSGC achieve long-term growth and impact .

Our International Day of the Girl I AM AN AFRICAN GIRL contest gives you an opportunity to connect deeply with the girls you support through GSGC. They are sharing their hopes and fears, challenges and strengths; for an additional $35 per vote, you can honor their experience and inherent value and help GSGC meet immediate club needs.
Mission:

Impact:
“Six of the eight girls in my club who graduated last year have been accepted into college! As less than 3% of either boys or girls living in southern Zambia study beyond high school, this is huge!”
Auntie Gloria Mubita, Believe Club

Goal:
With your help, increase GSGC’s reach and impact to set more girls, and their communities, on a new course of possibilities.
