MLK Day!

FCEF was Honored to be in the MLK Parade!

Today, we had the incredible privilege of participating in the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, celebrating Dr. King's life, legacy, and dream. It was an inspiring day filled with unity, hope, and a shared commitment to justice and equality.

Being alongside our community, we were reminded of Dr. King’s powerful message—that together, we can create a world where love triumphs over hate and all people are treated with dignity and respect.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate and honor his vision. Let’s continue to live out his dream every day!

TSIC Mentor Appreciation Night

Last week, we celebrated our 85 dedicated Take Stock in Children mentors in honor of January's Mentor Appreciation Month. Recognizing them alongside our school board members and leaders was a joy. We are incredibly grateful for these mentors who volunteer their time each week to meet with their mentees, often during their lunch breaks. So far this school year, we’ve held over 700 mentoring sessions!

Thanks to generous donors Ron & Diana Tortelli, we provided our mentors with physical copies of a Mentor Toolkit filled with helpful talking points and a flashlight keychain to symbolize how they genuinely light the way for their students. This program is about so much more than mentorship—preparing students for college and empowering them to achieve their dreams. None of this would be possible without our incredible mentors, and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

FCEF Volunteering in the Community at Bunnell Elementary Garden Party & Oceans 50 Relay Race!

The Flagler County Education Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of our new monthly giving platform. This initiative helps us continue and grow our support for Flagler County's students, families, and educators.

Just as fireworks light up the night sky, your generous contribution can illuminate the path to success for our students, families, and educators. Here's how a monthly donation can spark a brighter future:

  • $50 provides necessary school supplies, clothing, and toiletries for a child in need, ensuring they have the tools to succeed in their studies.
  • $100 allows students to break the cycle of poverty through access to higher education, opening doors to a brighter future.
  • $250 provides a homeless family with safe shelter for the night, offering them comfort and security.

Thank you for considering a gift to the Flagler County Education Foundation. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Wishing you a joyful and safe Independence Day filled with fireworks and hope!
