Save the Date! Igniting the Spark: How to engage and motivate youth - March 10, 2016

If you work with youth you won't want to miss this upcoming Workforce Planning Hamilton event, offered in partnership with the Neighbourhood Action Strategy. 

The morning event will be held at the Waterfront Centre and will include:

Dr. Karyn Gordon, a leading relationship expert providing tips on how to connect, communicate, understand, and motivate Gen Y's.

An overview of WPH's recent research on how to create youth friendly services.

Panel of youth discussing their experiences at local employment services and providing recommendations.  A full breakfast will be served and the cost for the event is $20 each.

Wage Subsides are available...apply to Canada Summer Jobs! 

The 2016 Canada Summer Jobs application period for employers is from January 4 to February 26, 2016.

Canada Summer Jobs provides wage subsidies for not-for-profit organizations, public sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer full-time employees to create summer jobs for students between the ages of 15 and 30.

The application form and applicant guide are available on the Service Canada website.  Applications can be submitted online, by mail or in person at any Service Canada Centre.
