Can You Hear Me Now?

There has been A LOT of noise this last month regarding Illinois and our scope of practice. If you missed the original article, click here to read the challenges we face to provide care to those who need it most. In particular, a comment quoted by ISDS Lobbyist, Dave Marsh, caused a firestorm of comments...and opportunity! IDHA is making sure our voices are being heard and we are educating the public on what our amazing profession has to offer!

To keep the momentum going, IDHA. is working on a professional video to educate other health professionals and the public on what a Public Health Dental Hygienist does. We are keeping the momentum going! Now, more than ever, we MUST contact our legislators while we have their attention!

IDHA IS WORKING HARD FOR YOU AND OUR PROFESSION!

A big shout out to IDHA's, Lydia Park, Laura Baus, Kim Fasula, Michelle Miles, Kelly Badgley and CLC student Maya for participating in IL. Representative Chris Bos and IL. Senator Dan McConchie's Kids Safety and Health Fair on 9/11. Our leaders were able to talk to both of our legislators and discuss the importance of access to dental care in the community and importance of PHDH.
