This year's SSWR conference will be held from January 12-16, 2022 in Washington, DC. The conference theme is Social Work Science for Racial, Social, and Political Justice. School of Social Work faculty and doctoral candidates will be presenting at the conference in the coming days.

MSW student, Grace McClowry, has been elected to the School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA) Board of Directors. As the MSW Student Representative, Grace is interested in advancing student and professional engagement and collaboration around Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). She is currently serving as a research assistant for Dr. Kevin Tan. She is a co-author for the National Practice Guide on SEL and Equity in collaboration with SSWAA, CASEL, and Midwest PBIS. Grace is also a recent recipient of the competitive Mark Hale Award for her outstanding student leadership.

“Real World Impact” is the new research newsletter for the School of Social Work. The goal of the newsletter is to provide a snapshot of the outstanding research with real world impact that is taking place at our school. Each issue is organized around a theme that is critical to the advancement of social work.

As an integral member of the advancement team, this position will be tasked with leading the development and execution of a robust stewardship and donor relations plan that creates tactics, systems, processes, initiatives, and approaches for personalized stewardship at scale.

This flexible two-year program allows community college graduates and transfer students with junior standing to earn their Bachelor of Social Work degree through a combination of online courses and local field placements.
