We’re excited to showcase a stunning project featured on the cover of Home & Design! With lighting expertly designed by Outdoor Illumination’s Matt Taylor, this property seamlessly blends beauty and functionality.

Highlights include recessed marker lighting along the stone stepper path and uplighting that accentuates the perimeter’s ornamental trees. The lighting complements Fine Earth's elegant poolscape, complete with buffed limestone pavers, a black-granite infinity-edge spa, and Persian ironwood trees for privacy.

We are thrilled to celebrate Matt Taylor’s 20th anniversary with Outdoor Illumination! Over the past two decades, Matt has been the creative force behind nearly 1,500 successful outdoor lighting projects, many of which have earned prestigious LCA and ASLA Regional and National Awards—12 years running!

As our most senior – and most prolific – designer, Matt’s expertise in creative design and project engineering have made him a trusted partner for many of the region’s leading Landscape Architects, landscape designers, contractors, architects and custom builders. His dedication to excellence has elevated outdoor spaces to breathtaking levels, and his passion for his craft is reflected in the stunning outcomes of his work.



While we celebrate Matt’s incredible career milestone, we are also delighted to share even more joyful news: Matt welcomed his second child into the world!

Matt has been married to his wife, Christie, for 9 wonderful years, and together they have two beautiful children—Evan, 2 ½ years old, and Carys, just 10 weeks old. Beyond his passion for lighting design, Matt is also a highly competitive soccer goalkeeper, playing in multiple leagues and bringing the same dedication to the field as he does to his craft.
