CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2022!
|
|
Hello Imagine Families,
On Thursday, May 19, 2022, Imagine School at North Port (ISNP) held its High School Commencement Ceremony at the Charlotte Harbor Event Center in Punta Gorda. Sixty-one students graduated, and over 400 friends and family members attended. We are proud of each of these graduates and wish them great success in the future!
Senior Class President, Taylor Dickenson (right), attained additional recognition. Taylor has earned her Associate's Degree from the State College of Florida through the Advanced Dual Enrollment Program. Taylor will attend Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts beginning in the fall to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Media Arts Production. We wish Taylor the very best, and we are extremely proud to have her as an ISNP graduate!
Your Sun.com featured the ISNP Commencement Ceremony and the article is available HERE. Also, professional photos of the event are available for purchase and can be accessed here: ISNP 2022 Commencement Ceremony Photos.
Many thanks to the staff who worked so hard to organize this year's ceremony. They include members of the Graduating Committee, Mr. Derrick Cole, Mr. Peter Baumgartner, Mr. Marco Morais, and the Upper Campus Leadership Team. Also, thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stetter, and Mr. Jeremy Fant for their contributions and for being a part of this special event.
We also greatly appreciate the efforts and hours of practice given by our music students and our Young Marines. Ms. Walden and the ISNP Band provided all the music for the ceremony and the Young Marines provided the Color Guard.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL

The Final Week of the 2022 School Year is here! Final exams and/or projects for students in grades 6-11 will be administered this week May 23 through May 27. The 2022 Final Exam Week Parent Information Bulletin was sent home with students last week and is available HERE. The bulletin includes this year's final exam schedule for grades 6-11 as well as important information about early dismissal for high school students. No high school student will be allowed to dismiss early without a signed parent permission form on file in the front office.
As students complete their exams and finish up the school year, they are required to return their school-issued devices. The Upper Campus Chromebook Receipt Form must be completed by all students and submitted with their device. High school students will return their Chromebooks on the day of their last exam, and middle school students will return their Chromebooks during advisory class on Tuesday and Wednesday. If the device is damaged in any way or if the power cord has been lost, please ensure your child submits the proper payment to cover the cost. Details can be found on the form. Please review all of this information with your student prior to Monday.
Pictures of the 2022 Baccalaureate, Elementary Grad Walk, and Senior Assembly are included below, Enjoy and have a great week!

It is important that ALL students take the FSA and EOC exams. If your child has missed the Reading FSA for grades 6-10, the Math FSA for grades 7 and 8, the Algebra I EOC, or the Geometry EOC, please do everything you can to ensure he or she takes the makeup exam this week. This will be their final opportunity to do so.
The ISNP Upper Campus Testing Calendar can be accessed HERE. Assessment dates are also posted in the Mark Your Calendar section of this newsletter. Please review these with your child, mark his or her testing dates on your calendar, and support your child in preparing for these very important assessments.
It is important that your child gets plenty of rest the night before and eats a nutritious breakfast the morning of his or her test!

It is time to re-register your child for the 2022-2023 school year. Each student's primary registering parent should have received an email from noreply@sarasotacountyschools.net. This email was sent by The Sarasota County School District and provides the parent a unique SNAPCODE in the form of a web address. Follow the instructions in the email to re-enroll your student(s). The entire process will take about 10 minutes. Check your spam or junk mail if you did not receive the email.
Please complete the re-registration process promptly to ensure you hold a seat for your child for the 2022-2023 school year. We look forward to all students in grades 6-11 returning next year!
If you have not set up an account in the Family Access Portal, then you should receive your SNAPCODE via the U.S. Mail within the next few weeks. If you have any questions regarding re-registration, please contact Ms. Whitaker at Carrie.whitaker@imagineschools.org.

UPDATED March 2022
Protocols for Students and Staff with Exposure to COVID-19
Students and Employees who do not test positive for COVID-19 or develop symptoms are NOT required to quarantine, however:
- Parents or legal guardians of students who are known to have been in direct contact with an individual who received a positive diagnostic test for COVID-19 may choose one of the following options:
-
Allow their student to attend school, school-sponsored activities, or be on school property, without restrictions or disparate treatment, so long as the student remains asymptomatic; or
-
Quarantine the student for a period of time not to exceed five days from the date of last direct contact with an individual that is positive for COVID-19.
You may access the ISNP COVID-19 Dashboard HERE, and an updated infographic is attached below that provides quick reference to the latest guidance on quarantining.
If you have any questions about these protocols, please contact Ms. Mary Devore, Clinic Aide, by calling 941-426-2050, ext. 602 or by emailing her at Mary.devore@imagineschools.org.
