Make One of Your Goals in 2023
Personal & Spiritual Growth
We invite you and challenge you to make one of your goals for 2023 personal and spiritual growth. Some of the ways that you can accomplish that goal is regular worship, prayer, bible reading and fellowship. Do all of these things with a positive mindset and you will be surprised what God can do in your life, in your family, and in our church family. Join us in worship as we focus on Following in the Footsteps of Jesus. Make this year a year of personal and spiritual growth.
Blessings!--Pastor TJ

Our Thanks for Your Continued Giving
We want to thank everyone who has been so generous in their continued support of Immanuel during these difficult times. We are very aware that due to the pandemic many families are under financial strain and we want to say please take care of your families and let us be a blessing to you. Others have stepped up their financial support to help during these difficult times and we want to thank them for their partnership in ministry. We continue to have folks mail in or drop off checks or send bank checks for their tithes and offerings as well as use automatic giving and give online through our website secure donation service. We appreciate your continued generosity for general support as well as special offerings during these difficult times.
Go to our website at ucc-immanuel.org for our secure online giving. Click button below for online donation. Thanks again for your generous support!

2022 Contribution Statements
2022 contribution statements have been mailed out. Please note that these statements will only include donations received directly to the church and those received via Paypal.
If you have opted to use our new giving platform - Rebelgive - you are able to generate your own giving report through your Rebelgive account. For 2022 this means you will probably receive a statement from Immanuel for the 1st part of the year (prior to our Rebelgive roll-out) and you will generate a second statement through Rebelgive.
If you should have any problems generating your Rebelgive Statement please contact the office and we will assist you.
|
ONLINE GIVING PLATFORM
Consider trying our on-line giving platform, called Rebel Give. You should find this a simpler option to use while offering the church a much more cost effective means of giving. For more information on Rebel Give see Paul House.

Treats for Earhart Teachers
January 17th
Immanuel has been taking treats to the teachers at Earhart Elementary school, to show our appreciation and support for all they do for their students. Tari drops them off in the morning before school start on the third Wednesday of each month.
We need someone to provide treats for the months of March, April, and May. You can bake something or buy something. They need enough for 50 people. If you can provide the treats for one of these months please let Tari know and drop them off by 4pm the day before. For more information on how you can support Earhart see Tari Seeger.

Thank You!
Sending out a big Yeah Rah!! to the 2022 Deacons and congregation of Immanuel United Church of Christ!! The three years that I have served on the Deacons have been nothing short of unprecedented because of the pandemic, but as I have studied the precise bookkeeping of Paul House and recommendations of the Deacons plus the never failing to pay close attention to monetary needs by the congregation I see only pure GOODNESS GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME. PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
IUCC Knitters, Crocheters and Sewers: The Indiana-Kentucky Conference sent an invitation to create Prayer Shawls for the UCC General Synod in 2023.
The UCC's Mental Health Network will be hosting and curating the Safe Space Suite. Our IKC Wise team is partnering with the National UCC Mental Health Network to provide prayer shawls for that space.
Whether you know, sew, crochet or have no craft skills at all, you can participate! Prayer shawls can be triangular, rectangular, or square and generally sized to go around an adult's shoulders or be used as a lap blanket. You can make them with yarn, fleece or any other material.
There is yarn in the Parlor, and someone has donated fleece if anyone would like to make some using the fleece. Carole's email is [email protected] and her phone is 920-948-7190.
If interested contact Carole Huber for more information.

E-votional by Pastor TJ
Your Name
What wondrous news!–God, who created all that is, calls us by name. There are times in our lives when we hear our name and our heart is warmed just by the sound of our name spoken by someone who loves and cares for us. God knows us, loves us, and calls us by name. It is the personal call of the One who formed and fashioned us. It is the call of love and forgiveness. It is the call of the One who has a plan and purpose for our lives. Listen for a moment . . . and hear God’s call. Hear your name spoken lovingly by God. Come to him for God loves you and calls you by name like a loving and forgiving parent. God’s promise comes to us, come what may, like a quiet, comforting whisper, “I will be with you!” Trust God. Listen for God’s loving voice whisper your name . . .
(scripture of the week)
Fear not for I have redeemed you,
I have summoned you by name; you are mine. . .
I will be with you. (Isaiah 43.1,2)
(Prayer of the week)
Lord, thank you for your great love and the way you know us and call us by name. Open my heart and mind to trust in your plan and purpose for my life and your power to see me through. Renew within me a fresh appreciation and confident hope in your love and plan and purpose for my life. And may my life, radiant with your love, touch others today. Amen.
Blessings –Pastor TJ
