Join Us for Worship this Sunday

8:30am Alternative Worship and 11:00am Traditional Worship

Dear Friends,

Thank you all for a beautiful celebration of ministry that affirmed my gifts and leadership. The whole weekend was filled with such love and support, and I truly appreciate each of you who came to my Commissioning in Mesa. What an incredible experience to be surrounded by family, mentors, teachers and congregation members cheering on this milestone in my life.

Last Sunday was amazing! From meaningful worship with youth readers and the CE team to the congregation’s laying on of hands and then the fellowship afterward with beautiful decorations, delicious food, and so many smiling faces. It was a day I will always cherish.

From the moment I arrived at Immanuel, this place has felt like home, exactly where I was meant to be. That feeling couldn’t be more true today and I look forward to serving in ministry together for many years to come.

Thank you again,

Pastor Kris

Upcoming News and Events

Sympathy Announcement – It is with sadness that we share that Immanuel member and dear friend, Grace Ryerson died on January 21. A memorial service and reception will be held here at Immanuel on February 20th at 10:00am.

Casa Maria Sandwich Drop Off on Saturday, January 31 from 8:00 – 9:00am

Casa Maria is an incredible local resource for struggling families and homeless individuals who need our help. Immanuel members make bagged lunches and drop them off at church on the last Saturday of each month and we deliver them to the Casa Maria Soup Kitchen.

If you want to participate - each brown bag lunch should include two sandwiches (no mayo please); one fruit item, and two cookies. Special note: If making a sandwich without meat, label the bag (PB&J for example). Donations of hygiene products and other non-perishable food items are welcome too!

NEW Lenten Adult Class Starts this Sunday - "24 Hours That Changed the World" In this study, Adam Hamilton guides us, step by step, through the last 24 hours of Jesus’ life. We will use a book and a DVD review. No single event in human history has received more attention than the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth. This inspiring book deepens our understanding of the crucifixion and includes devotions and Holy Lands reflections. Meets in Witherspoon Hall 12/13 at 9:45am

Souper Bowl of Caring is coming up next Sunday, February 8th.

No matter which team you are rooting for in the Super Bowl, you can help tackle hunger in our local community. All proceeds go to the Vail Community Food Bank. We will have soup pots to drop your loose change and dollars into – one for the Patriots and one for the Seahawks. Come root for your team and make a difference to our neighbors.

Update Your Contact Information - We will be issuing a new church directory in early February and are asking if you would take a few minutes and update your contact information.
