Dear Friends,
Hindsight is 20/20. The crowd that gathered on Palm Sunday could’ve used some hindsight. There were signs Jesus was using to tell them about what kind of king he was, they just didn’t bother to pay attention.
Jesus rode on a donkey, not a majestic horse. Jesus wore clothes of a peasant, not royalty. Jesus served many and never had servants. Jesus fed multitudes with fish and loaves instead of feasting on sumptuous foods prepared for him. Yet, despite these clear signs, they were blinded by their own expectations, unable to see that the true king was not one of power and grandeur, but one of humility and service.
See you this Palm Sunday,
Kris Goorsky
Director of Christian Formation

Text and Email Scams - Fraudulent emails/texts are continuing to circulate appearing to come from Pastor Bart Smith. These attacks are a phishing or spoofing scam. This means that the email account or phone number has probably not been hacked. The names on these attempts may be familiar, but the email address or phone number used will not be the one you know. These emails or text messages often pretend they are a pastor or staff member and ask for private conversation, the need for a favor, or to purchase gift cards. This is unfortunately a common predatory tactic. Please know that staff will never ask you for money via text or email. If you receive one of these, do not respond. Mark as spam/junk and delete. | | | |
