March 23, 2020

Dear Chicago Dental Society Members:

On March 20, I sent each of you an urgent request to be prepared to donate PPE items, as together we fight the COVID-19 virus. Today is the time to act.

I have notified each member of our Board of Directors and the President of each of our nine branches to quickly establish a drop-off location and time frame to permit you to donate any PPE supplies you can within your geographical area. Your individual branch leadership will be communicating specific information as soon as possible.

Chicago Dental Society will coordinate with the University of Illinois at Chicago for the collection of all donated PPE items from branch locations. We recognize the state and local stay home policy remains in force, however, getting these vital first-responder supplies in the pipeline is of paramount importance. Should you have questions, please contact your CDS Board Director or Branch President.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation, compassion and community involvement.

Together we can make a difference.

Sincerely,

Terri S. Tiersky, DDS, JD
President
