As some of you know—and many of you have experienced—immersive learning is a hallmark of the Sawyer Business School experience. From nonprofits to Big Four accounting firms, SBS students have multiple opportunities to learn in the real world, in real time. It's essential to who we are and what we want our students to take away from their time here.

That's why, last year, we formally launched a new framework called IMMERSESM which synthesizes best practices and research related to innovative teaching strategies, faculty and student engagement, and partnerships. It's more than just finding great opportunities outside the classroom—IMMERSE is a guiding principle for students and faculty. This framework received recognition from the 2024 Eduventures Innovation Awards Program for the innovative course design to address the gap between the traditional business school curricula and the practical demands for student involvement, employability, and positive community impact.

This newsletter highlights some of the many immersive learning projects that have been incorporated into our business curriculum. Let me know what you think.
