“Immigration Matters Waterloo Region” survey (THE DEADLINE FOR THIS SURVEY HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO SUNDAY JULY 14)
- This is a bi-annual survey for all refugees, immigrants, claimants, international students, temporary workers and their families to share their experiences living in Waterloo Region. The survey will inform the community how to better support and empower immigrants & refugees to succeed and share feedback with over 60 partner organizations. Survey respondents can be entered for a draw to win prizes (gift certificates and passes to local restaurants and attractions). Please promote in your networks. Kitchener Waterloo Multicultural Centre (KWMC) in partnership with Kitchener Public Library (KPL) will be facilitating a Summer Camp program for newcomer youth (ages 14-21) for opportunities to discuss how to achieve education and career goals, connect with peers, enjoy delicious food, and engage in some fun art. “While Walls Are Being Built…Choose Welcome” information event (July 09, 12pm)
- Find out more about this Mennonite Central Committee’s (MCC) campaign and the financial support available that allows churches, neighbours and friends to sponsor UNHCR referred refugees at almost no cost through the Blended Visa Office Referred Program. The session will be at the MCC Community Room at 50 Kent Ave, Kitchener.

“Kultrún World Music” Festival (Jul 13-14)

- CLEO (Community Legal Education Ontario) is launching their website that is specifically designed to support community workers who help clients with legal problems. Imigration Partnership Spring Newsletter has arrived: "Unleashing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Immigrants"
- The Spring 2019 newsletter focuses on immigrant entrepreneurism in Waterloo Region. It explores the challenges, outcomes and potential of immigrant entrepreneurism, as well as experiences of local immigrant entrepreneurs, profiles local programs supporting them, and includes information about the people that make up the Immigration Partnership and their work.
