Health Imperatives Launches

a New Website!

We are thrilled to welcome you to our new website, HealthImperatives.org!

Designed with our clients and community partners in mind, the updated site offers a fresh, modern look, improved navigation, and enhanced accessibility for laptop, tablet, and mobile users.

It provides clear, easy-to-find information about all of our programs categorized under four service areas: Sexual & Reproductive Health; Support for Survivors of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence; Maternal, Child and Young Adult Health; and Behavioral Health.

We invite you to explore the new site and learn more about how our team is working every day to strengthen individuals and families while improving health outcomes and the quality of life for clients across Southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape & Islands. We love it and hope you will too!

Macy May's Boutiques Now Open

in Brockton and Hyannis

In February, Health Imperatives announced the opening of Macy May’s Boutique in our Brockton office, a dignified, welcoming space where the people we serve can shop for free.

Macy May Piersiak, the boutique’s namesake, tragically passed away in 2024 in a motor vehicle accident. Her mother, Mary Beth, wanted a way to honor her daughter’s legacy and keep her spirit alive in a meaningful way.

Mary Beth and her friends started a clothing drive that blossomed into a movement. Thanks to their incredible generosity and vision, along with partners Habitat Clothes, Inspire Happy Jewelry, and many others, Health Imperatives was able to open a second boutique in April at our Hyannis location.

Macy May’s offers a vibrant collection of women and children’s clothing and accessories, which celebrates individuality and personal style.

For the women we serve who are working to rebuild their lives, this personal shopping experience means the world to them – inspiring confidence and boosting self-esteem.

Our goal is to open a boutique in each of our seven locations – five to go! That’s where you come in. We are accepting donations of new and gently used clothing and accessories at two locations:

Health Imperatives’ Brockton Office

942 West Chestnut Street, Brockton

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Wave Medical Aesthetics

942 Great Plain Avenue, Needham

Tuesday though Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Financial donations are also appreciated and can be made via our new website.

Your Support is Vital

In a seemingly never-ending stream of stressful and unsettling bad news, we are so happy to share with you the good news of our website and Macy May's boutiques!

With federal cuts to vital programs across the country, funding for the work we do remains at risk. Health Imperatives needs your support today more than ever. Please help us continue to fulfill our promise to serve the needs of the most vulnerable populations in Southeastern Massachusetts, the Cape & Islands.

Whether it’s securing a safe place to live for a survivor of domestic violence, offering options to women facing an unintentional pregnancy, accessing healthy food for young mothers, or providing gender affirming care, Health Imperatives remains steadfast in our mission to keep our populations healthy, safe, strong, and empowered.
