Together, Let's Create Change

Dear Friends,

A warm winter coat.

A safe place to sleep.

A healthy meal.

Access to critical health care.

A provider who speaks my language.

Someone who cares about me.

Most of us are fortunate enough to take these things for granted. But for many of the people served by Health Imperatives, access – without judgment – to these basic necessities is lifechanging. As we look to the future, the services we provide, and the care we give, will be more crucial than ever.

We work with people who have fallen through the cracks of traditional systems of care. As one person struggling with addiction said, “I have been viewed as a ‘problem’ for so long, I forgot that I just need help.”

At Health Imperatives, we meet people where they are, and see people as they are. We believe that everyone has the right to be healthy, safe, economically secure, and happy. We know that with the right supports, people who have been disproportionately impacted by racism, sexism, trauma, and poverty can reclaim their power, and improve their quality of life.

With your support, we’ve made real progress:

  • Serving more than 20,000 individuals throughout Southeastern Massachusetts
  • Expanding WIC nutrition assistance on Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, and the Cape
  • Increasing access to sexual and reproductive health care, including lifesaving cancer screenings for early detection, and comprehensive family planning
  • Providing shelter, sanctuary, and services for victims of domestic and sexual violence, including sex trafficking.

There’s so much more that needs to be done. As you look ahead to the holidays and consider the blessings in your life, please consider making a donation to Health Imperatives. Your gift will help us to provide lifechanging, life-affirming, life-saving care to those who will be at most risk for harm in the days, months, and years ahead.

Please join us today to ensure that our most vulnerable populations have a chance to succeed and thrive.

Sincerely,
