AFO IMPACT: Children & Youth

"We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord."

Psalm 78:4

Listening to a Bible story during "Summer Camp!"

March-May is the school year break in Myanmar. Family-Based Child Care Coordinators took advantage of this time share the love of Jesus with all the children in the villages.

THE PARTNERSHIP OF FAMILY-BASED CHILD CARE WITH THE LOCAL CHURCH: A "BEAUTIFUL BLESSING"

Pastor Ah Ti, FBCC Coordinator writes:

One of the most beautiful blessings is that the children, along with their parents, grandmothers, and grandfathers, are being truly transformed by the power of love and care. The entire community has begun to see the lives of these families change so positively. Their lives are filled with love and joy as never before, thanks to the work of Family-Based Child Care. Through our partnership with local pastors and churches we are witnessing a transformation in whole communities. Just last week, 23 families accepted the Lord Jesus Christ. We give all the glory to God for what He is doing in the lives of many children and families.

A Prayer Praise

Thank God for His provision to fully-fund education and nutrition assistance for 57 kids in FBCC for the next 6 months.

A Prayer Request

There is a waiting list of boys and girls who want to go to school

but their families are unable to afford the fees, supplies and uniforms that are required. Family-Based Child Care also helps the child's family with food assistance and child medical care, if needed. With the recent 100% inflation in Myanmar, it costs $100 a month to fully-fund a child in FBCC. Thank you for praying with us that we can help more kids be able to go to school.

Pastor Lu & Team

In early August Pastor Lu and Betty were invited to participate in a conference in Yangon, Myanmar. Pastor Lu spoke, encouraging key Christian leaders from Myanmar and surrounding countries in their ministries.

Steven teaching

Steven and Benjamin, Pastor Lu's sons, are active in youth ministries in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Steven is teaching in a Burmese Church, and Ben is working with students at the Lisu Bible College. Both young men accompany their dad on monthly trips to minister in refugee camps on the Myanmar/Thai border.

Thank you, dear friends, for your prayers and donations for the ministry of Asia Frontier Outreach. There are some exciting things coming up this fall that you will want to be a part of:

  • Pastor Lu and team are planning an outreach to Burmese refugee young people in Thailand. Begin praying now for those who will attend and for all the planning and preparations.
  • The AFO-USA team is working on some new updates

Watch your email for more details coming soon!

With appreciation and blessings,

Lois
