Be part of the Uncorked legacy by joining us for our garden-inspired 19th anniversary celebration in the heart of Oregon’s esteemed wine country at Bryn Mawr Vineyards! Uncorked has raised over $6 million for children and families partnering with Family Building Blocks, our community’s Relief Nursery committed to “Keeping Children Safe and Families Together.” Kicking off Friday evening, Revelry features Oregon chefs, wineries, breweries, handcrafted cocktails, delicious NA options, silent auctions, games, and more. VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WEEK!

Family Building Blocks staff enthusiastically celebrated our dedicated and loving volunteers during Volunteer Appreciation Week in April! We are so very grateful for volunteer support in our classrooms, on our Board, at our special events, and more.

Thank you to our community of volunteers that dedicate their time, energy, and resources to 'Keep Children Safe and Families Together'. Your partnership allows staff to provide more meaningful direct service to our families in the community and inspires us all in our partnerships with children and families. Staff at each of our Family Building Blocks locations found special ways to celebrate the volunteers that walk through our doors every day!

THANK YOU POLK COUNTY!

April 15 marked our Polk County Luncheon at The Gate Community Youth Center in Independence. Polk County is home to two of our Relief Nursery locations - Indy Place in Independence and Gracie’s Place in West Salem.

Thank you to the community members who helped us fill the room. We enjoyed sharing about the importance of investing in young children and building relationships with families in our communities. We appreciated the opportunity to talk more about our growing Family Mental Health program, as well as time to share the beautiful experience of Jessica, a parent who partners with our team at Gracie's Place. See more of Jessica's story here.

Thank you, Polk County community!

LES SCHWAB DIAPER DRIVE 2026

Throughout the month of April, Mid-Willamette Valley Les Schwab Tire Centers hosted the 17th annual April Diaper Drive benefiting children and families partnering with Family Building Blocks.

Babies are born every day and the need for diapers is constant – with our community's support, we can help meet the need for families to have access to diapers. Les Schwab, local businesses, schools and FBB are partnering to meet this challenge with the goal of collecting over 100,000 diapers in 2026.

Thank you to Les Schwab as well as the local businesses and community organizations who participated this year! Stop by our Grand Finale Drop off Event on May 8 at our Helen's Place location and watch our piles of diapers grow!
