Last weekend, I took a walk through Smale Park and couldn’t help but smile, noticing the daffodils and tulips standing tall.
That’s when I knew we were turning the corner toward consistently nicer weather, which means site visits and Meet the Finalists are just around the corner! I’m energized by both the arrival of Spring and the incredible momentum we're building together at Impact 100.
It's been a busy start to the year and doesn’t appear to be letting up. At the Member Connect event last month we announced our key initiatives for the year. Be on the look-out for a refreshed logo and website, improvements to AAC and the finalist experience, and a reimagined recruiting effort. Special thanks to the board and committees who have been busy!

As announced at Member Connect, we are excited to share some important updates to the Annual Awards Ceremony (AAC).
After a thorough analysis of member and finalist feedback (see below), beginning this year, we will be closing our selections portal early enough to notify finalists in advance of the event whether they will receive a $100,000 grant.
| | | It will still be a surprise for Impact 100 members and will allow us to better celebrate and respect all our amazing grant recipients. | | Learn more about the update and how we arrived at this decision. | | Don't Miss Chances to Extend Your Impact | | |
Impact 100 is excited to bring you two opportunities to amplify our mission by contributing to the Extend Your Impact Fund.
This Fund awards up to $10,000 to Finalists who don’t receive a full grant at our Annual Awards Celebration—helping them cover costs and continue their essential work in the community.

"It was ingrained early on that you should give back when you have the chance."
The simple truth is that Clare O’Brien is what most people would call highly skilled.
If she had to, for example, she could help maintain the engines of an F-18 fighter jet. She also knows the ins-and-outs of being a school mom, launching a start-up company, and much more.

Mission Moment: Ohio Justice & Policy Center
2024 Finalist Jumpstarts Services with $10,000 Extend Your Impact Award

“Thoughtful approaches, intentional focus,” guides Gabe Davis at Ohio Justice & Policy Center
With credentials ranging from federal prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice to executive director of Cincinnati’s Citizen Complaint Authority, Gabe Davis has a passion for doing what’s right.
In his current role as chief executive officer of The Ohio Justice and Policy Center (OJPC), based in Cincinnati, Davis is driven by the mission of creating “fair, intelligent, redemptive criminal justice systems.”
As an Impact 100 2024 finalist, OJPC received a $10,000 Extend Your Impact Award, which has sparked other donations, led to additional legal support for women who are incarcerated and additional outreach services to women’s prisons across the state.

The more members we have, the more we can give to our community. To help us spread the word about Impact 100 to friends, family, colleagues and neighbors, our Recruiting Team invites you to bring a guest (or two) to our upcoming “Spread the Word” events.
At each event, we’ll socialize while enjoying light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. A recent Impact 100 grant recipient will share their experience of the transformative power of our grant.

Over 90 members and guests gathered in March at The Landing in Loveland to get better acquainted, learn about Impact 100 plans for the year, offer input and ideas, and hear from 2022 grant recipient Lucretia Bowman, from City Gospel Mission.
During the evening, members and guests sat with others from the same part of town and discussed favorite local spots. They also shared feedback for Impact 100 leadership and brainstormed how to attract more women to our organization.
Attendees surveyed offered favorable comments, including:
“Great smiles and warmth throughout the room.”
“Janet Collins has a wonderful and natural way about her presentations. I always appreciate hearing facts and figures about our organization. It is very much a part of why I like this group.”
“Informative and engaging…I had high expectations and they were met.”
