We are now accepting presenter proposals for Impact 2026, the ACDS annual conference, to be held at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Edmonton, Alberta from May 27 to May 28, 2026. About Impact 2026


The ACDS annual conference supports the ongoing learning, professional growth, and community-building of leaders, management, and staff in community disability services.


Impact 2026 will provide a welcoming, energetic, and engaging space for sharing, learning, and connecting. Our conference goal is for delegates to leave with renewed energy and strengthened skills, knowledge and connections to support the individuals they serve. 


We will offer participants a carefully curated program with presentations addressing relevant and timely topics, focused on the following sub-themes:

  • Ensuring the human rights of individuals with developmental disabilities 
  • Attracting and retaining a strong and skilled disability workforce 
  • Utilizing advancing technology and understanding associated risks 
  • Supporting diverse clients and those with complex needs 
  • Understanding cross-sectoral issues impacting disability services provision 

Presenting at Impact 2026


Do you have an engaging and insightful presentation idea for Impact 2026 related to one or more of the above sub-themes? We invite you to submit a proposal by completing the Presenter Proposal application by Friday, January 23, 2026.
