Hi Friend,

We’re so excited to share with you our 2020 Impact Report! We wanted to make you aware of the amazing things we were able to do last year as a result of our supporters like you! We're also introducing you to our new board member, giving you a heads up on some upcoming fundraisers and sharing ways you can get involved in supporting Memorial Hospital's patients.
In 2020, we assisted 3,453 patients, 92 employees and purchased 5 pieces of equipment for our hospital for a total value of $236,488 invested in our community. Check out our Impact Report to learn more.
John Carter was born and raised in Gulfport, where he graduated from Gulfport High School. He furthered his education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and then at Tulane’s casino management program. Along with his siblings, John founded Century 21 J. Carter & Co., which serves the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast and has grown into the top Century 21 office in the state. In 2015, John founded Carter’s Champions LLC, a non-profit aimed at raising awareness and funding for the battle against breast cancer. Each October, Carter’s Champions holds their Pink Dress Run in Gulfport, donating the proceeds from the event to aid local breast cancer patients. Additionally, John serves as Chairman of the board of directors for the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. He and his wife Amy are the proud parents of sons Lucas and Crew, and reside in Saucier.
We manage 20 funds that provide financial support to Memorial Hospital, our patients, and our employees. What makes us unique is that 100% of donations to the Foundation directly benefit the fund of your choosing. We have several donor programs for our supporters to choose from and you get to pick the fund you would like your donation to benefit.
Memorial Oncology and Pink Hearts Fund are hosting the Ribbon Walk on May 22nd to raise funds for those battling cancer in our community.
The 2021 Carter's Champions Pink Dress Run will be on Saturday, October 23rd to benefit our Carter's Champions Breast Cancer Fund which provides financial assistance to those in our community receiving treatment for breast cancer at Memorial.
