Tykes & Teens Walk-In Assessment Center Highlights

The Tykes & Teens Walk-In Assessment Center, launched on August 5th, 2024, has successfully linked children and families to crucial mental health resources. Since its opening, the center has served 39 youth, with 27 from Martin County and 12 from St. Lucie County. Of the Martin County youth, five presented in crisis and were safely de-escalated without requiring inpatient hospitalization.

Key highlights include:

  • 100% of youth were connected to mental health services, with 38 now enrolled in ongoing care at Tykes & Teens.
  • Families expressed high satisfaction, with all survey respondents giving top ratings (5/5) in areas such as staff friendliness, comfort, and quality of care.
  • The feedback from parents and the community has been overwhelmingly positive, emphasizing the critical need for this service.
  • Tykes & Teens attributes much of its success to the Impact100 Martin grant, which made the center possible. An open house event is planned for January 2024 to celebrate with the community and supporters.

Tykes and Teens has spotlighted Impact100 Martin for the transformational grant that allowed their big dream to come true. Be sure to visit their website to see how Tykes and Teens highlights Impact100 Martin.

Please join us for a special Open House for the Walk-In Assessment Center at Tykes and Teens and celebrate with Impact100 Martin and other supporters of
