ImpImpact Connection

November 2021

Welcome to Impact Connection! This monthly email will share stories about our high impact grants, offer information about the important issues surrounding the nonprofits, and connect you to the organizations and leaders making a difference in our community.

It's the Giving Season

How are we helping our nonprofits?

As the holidays approach, and the end of another year looms large over all of us, we are sharing stories about what we are doing as an organization to help our nonprofits and further their goals. We are also offering our past grant recipients and finalists the chance to let us know what we, as individual members of Impact100 Metro Detroit, can do to help.

Grant Applications open this month, and we at Impact100 Metro Detroit want to be sure that nonprofits have all they information they need to submit the best proposal possible. To that end, we are hosting over 100 organizations at our Grant Information Session on November 16. In addition to learning about best practices and writing dos and don'ts, grant writers and nonprofit directors will be able to network with one another and share information that can help everyone succeed. Past grantees will also speak about their successes.

Many nonprofits, like most for profit businesses, can benefit from expert advice in how to maximize their potential to grow and succeed. The problem nonprofits often face is not having enough money in the budget to pay for business coaching. Impact100 MD member Jackie Gouvia, a certified coach, has generously offered to provide one on one coaching for some of our grant recipients and finalists. The response from nonprofit directors has been very positive. We know they will be able to fuel more transformation in our communities!
