Dear TT Faculty,
Today, KSUFA officially notified the administration that we have declared impasse in the negotiations for a successor to our 2019 CBA. Our attorney will be notifying the State Employee Relations Board (SERB) and requesting a list of potential Conciliators from which the parties will select the Conciliator presiding over the resolution of the parties’ impasse.
In light of this impasse, KSUFA will begin circulating a petition calling on Faculty Senate to conduct a vote by all full-time faculty on the question of No Confidence in the President and his cabinet of Vice Presidents. If we are successful at gathering the requisite number of signatures on the petition, Faculty Senate will then conduct the vote.
The full text of the petition is available for review on KSUFA’s website. Members of KSUFA TT Council and TT bargaining team will have copies of the petition available for signing. Copies of the petition will also be available for signing at the KSUFA Office: 136 N. Water St., Suite 213, Kent, OH 44240.
We encourage all full-time faculty to sign the petition. Substantial participation in the signature gathering phase may motivate the administration to reach agreement with KSUFA’s TT bargaining team in advance of conciliation.
Thank you for participating in this important collective action.
In Solidarity,
Deb Smith
