Today's Letter
Good afternoon -

Imperial Dade, one of the largest distributors of disposable food service and janitorial supplies and a portfolio company of Audax Group, continues to grow via acquisition with the buy of Sikes Paper & Chemical Supply, a distributor of sanitary products, equipment, and packaging serving the metropolitan Atlanta and North Georgia market areas. The buy of Sikes is the fifteenth acquisition for Imperial Dade since it was acquired by CEO Robert Tillis and President Jason Tillis in 2007. Audax made a growth equity investment in the company in January 2016. Our lead article today gives a complete listing of the acquisitions of Imperial Dade all the way back to May 2009.

A big read from Friday...  Summit Park has moved into the online tree and shrub market with the buy of Fast Growing Trees  (FGT). Customers can order from 900 varieties and have delivery within two days. The company has 11 shipping and growing locations throughout the US and makes its headquarters along with a 42-acre nursery in Fort Mill, SC (just south of Charlotte). The buy of FGT is Summit Park's sixth platform investment for its second fund which closed in May 2015 with $118 million of capital commitments. Jim Johnson led the transaction for Summit Park.

Have a great day everyone.
