Attracting Talent
One of your Chamber's primary roles is to promote the Muskegon Lakeshore region to attract talent, investment, new residents, and visitors. Therefore, your Chamber is partnering with Livability Media, a nationally recognized authority on the best places to live and work.

Hear more about it from Cindy, your Chamber President, in the video below!

Thank you for your support in this joint effort to promote the Muskegon Lakeshore region as the best place to live, work and play!
Connecting Business and Education
Over 250 business and education leaders gathered at the September Business for Breakfast program to discuss ways to develop a talented workforce.

The panel discussion included John Severson, Superintendent at the MAISD , Dale Nesbary, President of Muskegon Community College , and Aaron Maike, President of Baker College .

Although the workforce shortage will not be a quick fix, the local education institutions are working together and with employers to fill in the gaps.

Part of those efforts include creating awareness to our local students of all ages. A video was debuted at the beginning of the program which speaks to students on the opportunities available to them right here in Muskegon County for careers. The video was produced by Benchmark Productions . Click here to view the video.

As an employer, there are several ways to get involved with the education institutions to help grow local talent in the Muskegon Lakeshore. Click here to learn more.
