If you pickup your race packet and do not run then we are unable to give you 50% off the 2027 Snohomish River Run.

Know the Route

It is important that all runners know their course route. Yes, it will be appropriately marked, and there will be course monitors. However, mistakes have been known to happen. As a participant, it is very important for you to know the route. Below are important course notes. Please read them.

Important Notes

STAY LEFT!

All routes will be on the same course. We need everyone to stay in the left-hand lane at all times to avoid collisions with other runners.

Leave room for faster runners. We have attempted to time the start time of the different events so the faster runners of the longer distances will not be held up by slower runners in the shorter distances. However, we do ask that the slower runners NOT run 3 abreast and to please make sure you do not obstruct faster runners from the longer distances.

Do NOT obstruct or hold up faster runners in the finish chute. We will have separate finish lines for the marathon/half marathon along with the 5K/10K. Make sure you run through the correct chute. We also know that we need that perfect finish line photo for our friends. However, please make sure to be mindful of other runners who are also finishing.

Leave some finish line food for the last runners. We will have soup and other food at the finish line for everyone. Please do not use this food to feed your family or spectators. We need to make sure there is plenty of food left for the final runners.

Race shirts and sweatshirts

All participants who registered prior to Oct. 1st will get a race shirt or sweatshirt when they pick up their race packets. Those who registered after Oct. 1st are not guaranteed a shirt or sweatshirt. Most likely we will have enough race shirts or sweatshirts for everyone. We just can't guarantee it.

Event Shirt & Merchandise Policy:

To ensure all registered participants receive the shirt or sweatshirt size they selected during registration, we will not be conducting shirt size exchanges prior to the race.

If your selected shirt size does not fit, please bring the unworn shirt to the merchandise tent after the race. Size exchanges will begin after the race has started and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, based on remaining inventory.

**Any unclaimed race shirts, merchandise, or participant items not picked up during the event will be offered for sale following race day.***

Distance Changes

All distance changes need to be done in person at packet pickup. If you decide to cut the race short and did not transfer distances, please make sure to notify the timer, who will be located right next to the finish line.

Race Results

Race results will be live immediately following the race.

Start and Finish Location

The start line is at the intersection of 1st Street and Avenue D in downtown Snohomish. The finish line will be about ¼ of a mile West of the start line on 1st Street in Snohomish. Virtual Swag Bag

To save on paper waste and printing, our swag bag is virtual. We will be emailing the virtual swag bag on Friday, Oct. 10, and again on Oct. 13. It will have coupons and discounts from race partners that will be available for a limited time period.

Parking

Avenue D, Lowell Snohomish River Road, and 1st Street will all close at 7:15 a.m.! We highly suggest all cars be in Snohomish prior to 7:15 a.m. This does not mean you have to be at the start at 7:15 a.m., but you should at least be in town by then.

Please arrive early and be patient if there are lines.

PARKING IS NOT PERMITTED ON FIRST STREET IN SNOHOMISH. YOU WILL BE TOWED!

Participant Drop Off

If a spectator is dropping you off, please have them pull onto First Street east of Avenue D, and park to let you out of the vehicle. Do not hold up traffic at any intersections. Remember, spectators cannot park on First Street, or they will be towed. First Street will only be open until 7:15 am.

Medical Issues

We will have a fully-staffed medical tent at the finish line for anyone who is in need of help. If you have issues while on course, please stop at the nearest aid station and they will call for aid.

Time Cutoff

Our permits allow for us to keep 1st Street in Downtown Snohomish Closed until 10AM and Lowell Snohomish River Road Closed until 1:00PM. We will keep the finish line arch up until 1:30PM or the last runner. What this means is that if you are averaging slower than a 12 minute per mile pace in the marathon then you will need to be on the sidewalks when you come back to Snohomish on 1st Street (Mile 11). This also means we may need to reopen Lowell Snohomish River Road prior to you getting back to Snohomish. We will have monitors on course to notify you if this is the case.

We most likely will not pull runners off the course unless we feel it is for your own health and safety. We will try our hardest to keep the finish line up for the last runner. However, our permits only allow for us to keep the finish line area closed until 3:30 and it takes us about 2 hours to break down and get out of there. We also cannot keep major roads closed or volunteer groups around for extended periods of time for a very limited amount of runners.

We know how hard you have worked and we will do everything so everyone can finish. So, in short. We do not have a hard cutoff time. However, we may need to begin opening roads and we may need to begin breaking down while you are still on course. We will be communicating with you if this is the case.

Thank you,

Grant Harrington

Owner of Snohomish Running Company
