Dear Maria Community,

This notification provides detailed information about the College’s required COVID-19 Surveillance Testing Requirement for all students, faculty, and staff which will go into effect the week of February 1, 2021. This is a proactive and conservative approach to identify cases early while limiting contact among at-risk campus community members and reducing transmission.

From February 1, each week 20% of Maria’s community members who have been on campus in the 3 weeks prior will randomly be selected to engage in surveillance testing. Individuals selected for surveillance testing will be sent a confidential email detailing the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Science (ACPHS) self-scheduling and testing process. Test results must be uploaded to the shareMy.Health website no later than Friday, 4:00 pm, of the week the test occurred. If test results are not uploaded by Friday at 4:00 pm, accounts will be placed on ‘hold’ and access to campus will be restricted until results are uploaded.

While test results from ACPHS will automatically be uploaded to shareMy.Health, results from other organizations will not be. Instructions for uploading test results from sites other than ACPHS can be accessed HERE.

While the COVID Coordination Team has received positive feedback from ACPHS regarding testing, we have also learned of a number of scheduled appointments that were unattended without notice. Please be aware that not attending scheduled appointments may deny others the opportunity for doing so. Future unattended appointments will result in Maria College ID swipe access being restricted until test results are uploaded into shareMy.Health. Instructions for cancelling an appointment can be found in the confirmation email sent by ACPHS upon test registration.

More information about Maria College’s COVID-19 response, and updated campus guidance, can be found on the College’s designated COVID-19 Response & Guidelines webpage. Please refer to this page regularly.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and collective efforts.

Sincerely,
Joel Nudi
