Dear School Community Member:
Good afternoon. I hope everyone enjoyed the spring recess and was able to spend time with family and friends. This is my favorite time of year to be working as an educator. The warmer weather, spring sports and the excitement surrounding promotions, graduations and proms keeps spirits high and students engaged. Not to mention it's the end of April, and the NY Mets are leading their division!
As most of you are aware, our district calendar includes three (3) emergency closing days for inclement weather. This year, due to the mild winter weather, we only used one (1) snow day. According to our BOE approved district calendar, all unused emergency closing days are to be returned around Memorial Day weekend (Note: This is a contractual requirement). As a result, all Park Ridge Public Schools will be closed on Friday, May 27th and Tuesday, May 31st.
