Important Note: Shopping in December will be curbside pick-up ONLY due to the rise in COVID cases. Please review all of the information below about our limited operations plan.
Happy Holidays to all! We know that this holiday season will look and feel different than those in the past. We encourage you to focus on the good things that this year has brought us: more time with family, time to slow down a little bit, more time outdoors, chances to engage our creativity, opportunities to learn how to use technology more, and appreciation of what we can all do when we work together.

With winter setting in, we know that you may start to feel more isolated and lonelier. Remember - Neighborhood Connection is here for you and we have some ideas and opportunities for staying connected in a safe way. We’ve made some changes to shopping to make things safer for everyone, and we only are a phone call or Zoom meeting away. We know the needs are great during this time and we assure you we will do our very best to meet them. Each of you are a gift to the Neighborhood Connection family and we will get through this together. You are valued and we appreciate the privilege to know you and serve alongside of you. Please continue to let us know how we can help!
Limited Operations Plan at Neighborhood Connection Starting November 30th
Due to the rise in COVID cases, we will have limited operations starting November 30th. We will no longer be using the online registration that you had been signing up on to shop. Instead, please call or email us to schedule curbside pickup for the items you need. Shopping in the store will be offered on a limited basis for those who need to select specific items.

Neighborhood Connection remains open and we are here to serve you and support the needs you and your family have. We are encouraging everyone to stay home as much as possible but know that we are truly a phone call away. More information is available online.
We will be closed Friday December 11th for the Adopt-a-Family program and December 21st-January 10th for the holidays and for inventory. Please call, however, if you need ANYTHING.
Holiday Program Reminders !

The gift distribution will take place on Saturday, December 12th for those who registered for this program. You will be given a curbside pickup time so please watch your mail for that.
Holiday Meal
For those that requested gift cards, your cards will be mailed out the second week of December. For those that requested delivery, your meal will be delivered on Saturday, December 19th between 10:00 AM and noon. You can still register to receive a meal until December 4th. Call us at (608)906-7901 or register online.
Staying physically distanced, but social connected

Many of us have talked about how difficult and lonely this time has felt. We want to offer a few ideas and ways to connect all of us at Neighborhood Connection. In April, we created an opportunity where volunteers made friendly calls to anyone feeling lonely, anxious, or in need of connection. We have heard from many of you that this was helpful and some of you are still in touch! We are offering this program again. If you would like to be matched with a volunteer, please contact Stacey.

We will also be setting some social groups that will be led by you! Contact Stacey and share if this is of interest to you and what you would like the topic of connection to be. Some ideas are home schooling, sharing recipes on a budget, mental health support, and so on. Get your creative caps on and call with ideas and if you are interested in leading and/or participating in a virtual group like this.
Community Resources

Social Isolation Resources
We know that many of us are feeling lonely and isolated. The Area Agency on Aging created a wonderful list of resources to help everyone cope. Despite that this was created with older adults in mind, there is something on the list for everyone.
