The Alabama Accountability Act has strict guidelines on who is eligible for scholarship funds.

1. The family must have an income at or below 185% of the federal poverty level. See the chart of the max income an applicant can earn to be eligible to receive the scholarship for the first time. New applicants with siblings currently in the program are subject to the ‘New Applicant’ income threshold.

2.  Students zoned to Failing Schools in Alabama have priority over students in non-failing school zones. Failing School List

3. Only 25% of all new scholarships can be awarded to students continuously enrolled in a private school the previous year.
