Protecting The Public By Regulating The Professions Of Psychology And Behavior Analysis
This bulletin is issued by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners ("Board") and its purpose is to notify licensees of an important update.

On August 3, 2021 Arizona licensed psychologists and behavior analysts were informed that, beginning January 1, 2022, anyone renewing a license with the Board is required to apply for a fingerprint clearance card and to submit the card to the Board with the completed renewal application. In order for the Board to implement this requirement, agency approval must first be granted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Given that the timing of FBI approval is unknown and uncertain, the Board will not enforce the fingerprint clearance card requirement until further notice.

Licensees are instructed to look for the next bulletin issued on this topic. Once FBI approval is granted, the Board will set a future implementation date that will allow licensees ample time to apply for a card.

At this time the board has no additional information to provide relative to the delayed implementation of the fingerprint card requirement. Inquiries will be directed back to this bulletin.
