Dear Chamblee First UMC,

As a valued member of our church community, we wanted to inform you about a recent decision that has been made regarding our music ministry.

After much prayer and thoughtful deliberation, SPR has made the difficult decision to part ways with our Director of Music Ministry, Allen Barbee. This decision was not made lightly or in haste, but we felt it was necessary to help revitalize the music ministry. This decision is not about choosing modern worship over traditional worship. The church remains committed to providing both worship experiences, and we believe that this change in leadership will enhance our ability to offer both in a more impactful way.

We recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication Allen has shown over the years. His contributions to our worship services and events have been significant, and we are grateful for the time he spent leading our choir.

We understand that this news will be met with mixed emotions, and we encourage you to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have. We are here to support you during this transition.

Please keep our choir in your prayers as we navigate this change together. We have faith that God will guide us through this process and lead us to a bright future for our music ministry.
