Dear Lancers,

I hope this email finds you well.

Notre Dame has a proud tradition that has been in place since its first graduating class in 1960. There is no doubt that during the course of the last 6 decades, our world, families, and our school community have walked through periods of growth and change. At times, these transitions have been smooth and positive, and at times, change has come through overcoming challenges and sacrifice. Despite that, I believe two tenets have always remained true:

  • God walks with us, loves us and wants us to support one another
  • Working together we can do incredible good

The past two weeks have been filled with each of us adjusting to our current reality. The Notre Dame community has not been exempt from that process. I am proud to share that because of careful planning, leadership, and incredible teamwork, our students are settling into their new rhythm of online learning at a rapid pace.

Today, I invite you to take a few minutes to watch a video update I prepared by clicking here . It is meant as a means for you - students, parents, alumni and friends - to learn about our efforts. You will hear that I am also announcing a new initiative called 'Always a Lancer.' Our students and alumni are often heard saying "Once a Lancer, Always a Lancer" so this is an authentic means to offer a new level of engagement within our community. Please watch the video to learn more.

'Always a Lancer' will launch with a celebration of the Eucharist in honor of you, members of our Notre Dame community, at Assumption Church in Fairfield. Mass will be celebrated live by Fr. Peter Cipriani this Sunday, March 29th at 11:30 a.m. To participate in the Mass simply log-in to Facebook and go our group at the following: facebook.com/NDFairfield .

As always, I thank you for being a part of our Lancer family. The Notre Dame team wishes you God's grace, peace and love. Please be safe!

Sincerely,

Christopher Cipriano
