Dear School Community Member:
Good morning. I am writing to inform you that I will be retiring from my position as Superintendent of the Park Ridge Public Schools, effective July 1, 2026.
It has been an honor to serve this community for the last 16 years and has certainly been the highlight of my 34 years in public education. The PRSD will always hold a special place in my heart.
I want to thank the BOE members, faculty, staff, parents and students, both past and present, who I have had the privilege of working with since 2010. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have enjoyed this journey with such a wonderful school community.
I will always look back with great fondness on the work we have accomplished together. The implementation of full day Kindergarten, the 1:1 laptop program, additional Advanced Placement (AP) classes, Senior Internship Program, the Owl House and countless facility improvements will continue to make the PRSD a competitive school district in the future.
In closing, I look forward to assisting the Board in their search for my successor and helping my replacement make a smooth transition to the Superintendent’s Office.
Best of luck to you in the future. Go Owls!
Sincerely,
Robert M. Gamper, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
