This fall, the Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Regional Economic Summit to bring together representatives from the Forestry, Mining, Agriculture, and Tech sectors.


This event is suited to anyone within the Kootenay, Columbia, and Elk Valley boundaries affected by industry related to Forestry, Mining, Agriculture, or Technology.

During the event, each sector will provide a presentation including operational insights, challenges and solutions involving climate change, resource development, industry advancement, and more. A group of panelists are to follow presentations to curate conversations, questions, and projections for the future.

FREE VIRTUAL PROGRAM FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS


Who is this for? This FREE program is designed for women and non-binary entrepreneurs who are actively operating their own business in Canada, and would like support to turn current obstacles into long-term success.


You’ll connect with a small group of women, meeting for five, 2-hour virtual sessions starting September 10th to learn proven resilience strategies in a supportive peer network.

GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER FOR THE KINSMEN SPRAY PARK


The Cranbrook Kin Club are hosting a golf tournament on Friday, August 16th in support of the Kinsmen Spray Park.


The Kin Club are looking for golfers to play at the Cranbrook Golf Club on Friday August 16th with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. The tournament is best ball to suit any ability – come out for some fun! $150 registration includes 18 holes of golf with a power cart, dinner and lots of prizes to be won.

POPPY CAMPAIGN IN SEARCH OF STORAGE – DONATED SPACE NEEDED THIS FALL


Branch 24 in search of ground level storage and operating space from October 1st until November 20th. They hope to find a ground-level space ideally with an outside entrance for ease of volunteer use. Access will be during regular business hours, approx. 9:00 am to 4:00 pm weekdays.


STORAGE NEEDS:

10’ x 20’ is required, however, might be able to get by with a bit less. This storage is for the wreath boxes and poppy/donation boxes.


OFFICE NEEDS: 

10’ x 10’ approx. Need room for at least one desk, plus a table and at least two or three chairs. Power for computers, printer etc, as well as basic utilities & washroom access.
