The first day of school is Monday, August 23, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:55 p.m.
We will have Mass this day, so students should wear their dress uniform (boys will need to wear their EC tie with a white dress shirt and uniform bottoms; girls will need to wear their EC oxford cloth shirt with uniform bottoms). Students will need to pack a lunch or bring money to purchase a lunch.
COVID-19 Update
Elyria Catholic High School continues to work with Lorain County Public Health on COVID-19 safety protocols. At this time, masks are not required for vaccinated staff and students. Masks are strongly recommended for staff and students who are not vaccinated.
The Ohio Department of Health urges layers of protection. Elyria Catholic staff and students will continue to utilize social distancing as much as possible in addition to surface cleaning and hand hygiene.
Additionally, the Ohio Department of Health will now be consulted for quarantines after exposure to positive cases of COVID-19. Staff and students who are vaccinated and distanced will most likely not need to quarantine after exposure. Students and staff who are not vaccinated and not wearing a mask will most likely need to quarantine for 14 days after exposure.
We urge all members of the Elyria Catholic community to practice safe and healthy habits to stop the spread of COVID-19. Please do your part so that students may continue to attend school and participate in out-of-school activities.
We will keep you updated on any changes as we move forward.
