3. Updated Proof Of Price Reasonableness & Source Justification Form Now Available
Supply Chain Management (SCM) recently updated its  proof of price reasonableness & source justification form  to better adhere to UCOP’s Material Management policies. The "special considerations" section of the form has been expanded and we’ve added more clarity on what information and documentation SCM needs to process high-value orders not found in a BearBuy catalog.

Please discontinue using older versions of the form and note that additional documentation needs to accompany source justifications to satisfy UC auditing requirements.
4. Upcoming In Class BearBuy Trainings
Beginning January 2018, Supply Chain Management will be hosting and facilitating BearBuy hands on trainings for Shoppers, Requisition Creators, Requisition Approvers, Match Exception Preparers, Voucher Approvers and Change Order Preparers. Register to learn more about BearBuy with one of our upcoming in-class trainings based on BearBuy user roles. Courses are offered through the UC Learning Center .

All upcoming in-class trainings, along with course descriptions, are listed on our SCM BearBuy Training Courses webpage . Please note, our courses have a minimum attendance requirement. If a minimum of 6 or more users is not met, this session will be rescheduled.

5. 'Did you know?' Useful BearBuy Tip Reminder
Q: What are the types of attachments that are acceptable on BearBuy orders?

A: BearBuy gives you the ability to attach documents and URL links to carts/requisitions. Even though BearBuy allows you to attach all types of documents, when those attachments carry over to the respective Purchase Order(s) some attachments may delay the order dispatch as not all suppliers can accept all attachment types. Please see the allowable attachment types below:
Allowable Internal Attachments Types

  • Excel
  • Word
  • PDF
  • URL
Allowable Ext. Attachments/Notes to Suppliers
  • Excel
  • Word
  • PDF
Attaching an allowable attachment type will prevent order delays. Users should never attach Outlook messages to any order as these will result in order delays.
