Arrival & Departure Time
Check-in begins at 7:45 AM, at the starting line location (see below).
The race starts promptly at 8:30 AM -- be sure to allow plenty of time!
Start Location
The starting line will be on the West side of Van Cortlandt Park, near the intersection of Broadway and W251st St (aka Fieldston Terrace). Note there is a large statue of the Tortoise and the Hare at this park entrance. The finish line is at the same location. Participants will make 2 laps to complete the event.

Parking & Transit
Street parking is available along Broadway and on the surrounding streets. By public transit, take the #1 train or the Bx9 bus to the 242nd St Station and walk north along the park about 9 blocks.
Family Friendly
Family and friends, including leashed pets are welcome to attend, although no child or pet care will be provided.
Fundraising
Well done on the fundraising, everyone.
Donations for the fundraising competition will be collected until Sunday, September 22. After September 23, we will announce the fundraising winners. Donations toward our cause will continue to be collected and are greatly appreciated.
Finisher Medals
Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers (male and female) will be presented at the end of the event.
All participants will receive a certificate of appreciation after the 5K via email.
Preparation Advice
Don't overwork yourself the day before the race. Eat a healthy meal with carbs the night before, and a light snack the morning of. Don't forget to stretch - click
