Stopping the Line 3 Pipeline
Join us on June 13 at noon for an understanding of the Line 3 pipeline issue and a call to action to stop it being built. With the climate crisis continuing to worsen, no more fossil fuel infrastructure can be built if we are to keep global warming to 1.5 degrees C. Yet, the Canada-based energy conglomerate, Enbridge, has begun construction of the Line 3 oil pipeline that would run from the oil sands of Alberta to Superior, WI some 1,000 miles away. The pipeline is planned to run through Native American land in Minnesota. Indigenous water protectors and thousands of climate activists have been on the ground to stop the project.
During this Second Hour, Gary H. White of our EEJ ministry, will present details about the project, lead a discussion on it and offer steps one can take remotely to support the activists on the ground in the struggle to cancel the project. We hope to see you at this Zoom event.
The following SECOND HOUR on Sunday, June 20 will be an
