Good Evening,
As we enter week four, I hope you all are weathering the storm and keeping yourself and your employees safe and healthy. We are #IN THIS TOGETHER OHIO.

I know we all get a lot of information everyday. I hope that these updates provide some value to you.

During the next two weeks NEDC will be calling Norwalk businesses to have a conversation and learn more about how the COVID-19 crisis is effecting your business and how we can help you moving forward.

  • The Ohio Department of Health's coronavirus website has new and updated information and resources for employers, including a revised COVID-19 checklist.
  • Ohio follows federal requirements under the WARN Act, which requires employers to provide written notice at least 60 calendar days in advance of covered plant closings and mass layoffs. There are exemptions, one of which is an unforeseeable business circumstance.
  • Here is the U.S. Department of Labor's WARN Act compliance page. (At last check, DOL had not announced that employers are exempt from WARN Act requirements during the COVID-19 outbreak.)
