Dear Trinity Community Members,

As previously communicated, students who have underlying health conditions, have been recently exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or have recently been sick or are currently not feeling well should contact Mrs. Carey to make arrangements for a later date for locker clean out and may not come during the regularly scheduled appointments.

However, after a student was on site for locker clean out, Trinity High School learned that her parent tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, May 9, 2020. The student was in the building Friday afternoon, May 8, 2020 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. (on the north end of the first floor, and on the north end of the second floor; she also dropped off an athletic uniform at the SMGAF). The student is now symptomatic, and while she has not been tested, she is presumably positive.

Due to our strict, state-guided procedures in place during clean out, including:

  • a ten student maximum per time slot,
  • a mandate for all students and staff to be masked,
  • enforced social distancing in and out of the building,
  • propped internal doors for minimum physical contact, and
  • short retrieval times,

we have minimized the risk of any transmission to the best of our ability. The parking lot is also under supervision to ensure there is not social gathering occurring in the parking lot. These procedures are in place so that the virus will not spread to anyone while at Trinity. Safety will continue to be our top priority and we appreciate your partnering with us in these efforts.

Please continue to pray for all those affected by COVID-19, especially members of our Trinity community and their families, and please contact Mrs. Carey if you or a family member have been exposed or diagnosed with COVID-19.

Sincerely,
Laura M. Curley
