March 10, 2020
As news about COVID-19 evolves daily, CIM has decided to increase precautionary health measures by limiting access to its facilities beginning immediately through April 6, 2020.
These actions are being taken in conjunction with our partners at Case Western Reserve University.
Emails were sent today to CIM students and faculty informing them of our decision to extend spring break through March 17. Beginning March 18 faculty will teach classes using virtual technology through at least April 6. For more information, view the email to faculty

At this time,
there is no change in staff attendance
. However, if you have symptoms, are sick, have been in contact with others who may be sick, or have traveled to a high-risk area, please stay home and contact your doctor immediately, then your manager and Human Resources.
Be aware of potential COVID-19 symptoms including fever, cough and shortness of breath.
United HealthCare has its virtual visit service available 24/7. You can talk with a doctor by phone or video at any time. Go to
and log into your account for more information.
It is important to note that medical experts report some people are at higher risk than others of getting very sick from COVID-19. This includes:
- Adults over the age of 60
- Those with serious chronic medical conditions such as:
- Heart disease
- Chronic lung disease
If you are at higher risk for contracting COVID-19 because of your age or because you have a serious long-term health problem, it is extra important for you to take action to reduce your risk of getting sick.
If you have concerns, please contact me to determine whether accommodations need to be made during this time.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and we are here to support you in any way possible.
Thank you in advance for your understanding.
