A Message from Metro Chamber President & CEO | |
Dear Cap-to-Cap Delegation,
As we head to Washington, D.C., what stands out most about this year’s delegation is our alignment and the opportunity that it creates.
Cap-to-Cap works because we show up coordinated, focused, and ready to move priorities that matter to the Capital Region.
This year, our agenda is centered on four areas that directly shape our region’s long-term competitiveness:
- Innovation Ecosystem
- Government Efficiency and Effectiveness
- Strategic Infrastructure and Regional Connectivity
- Workforce Readiness and Industry Competitiveness
Together, these priorities reflect where our region is headed and where we are prepared to lead. The level of alignment behind this work continues to strengthen our voice and position us to drive meaningful progress at the federal level.
A great deal of work has gone into getting us to this point. I want to recognize our policy team leads:
-
Business Climate – Cameron Law, Evan Schmidt
-
Civic Amenities – Bradley Elkin, Darcy Brewer
-
Community Resources – Christie Gonzales, Stefan Heisler, Rob Baquera
-
Education & Employment (formerly Workforce & Education) – Xanthi Soriano, Ejiro Okoro, Dr. Jenni Murphy
-
Energy & Innovation (formerly Air Quality) – Adrian Rehn, Orville Thomas, Alberto Alaya
-
Flood Protection – Scott Shapiro, Nicole Ortega-Jewell, Mark Cowan
-

-

-

-

Because of their leadership and your engagement, we are arriving in Washington, D.C. prepared, disciplined, and speaking with one voice.
I also want to thank our presenting sponsor, Sutter Health, for their continued leadership and support of this program.
Thank you for your commitment to this work and to the future of the Capital Region. I look forward to a productive and impactful week ahead.

| A Message from Presenting Sponsor Sutter Health | |
We’re just days away from uniting in D.C. for the 54th annual Cap-to-Cap! The Metro Chamber has created a terrific program, with speakers, policy briefings, social events and more.
While not part of the formal agenda, some of the best conversations take place during the cab trips, elevator rides, morning coffee, and late-night snack runs. Some of our most successful and creative regional collaborations began as a concept during a hallway chat at Cap-to-Cap, or scribbled on the back of a napkin after a meaningful conversation.
During our time in DC, we encourage you to be open to spontaneous opportunities for connection. Whether it’s networking with someone new or brainstorming ideas with a colleague, you never know how an impromptu conversation might lead to an innovative idea back home.
Taka a look at our success from last year’s program to see what’s possible when we team up to advocate for the strength and prosperity of our Greater Sacramento region. We’re in this together!
See you soon!

Plan ahead for the airport
Arrive early. Be prepared for standard TSA screening, including liquids limits and electronics removal if you do not have TSA PreCheck.
Prepare for security at federal buildings
A government-issued ID is required for entry to Capitol Hill and other federal offices. Allow extra time for security screening and avoid bringing prohibited items.
