URGENT FRAUDULENT EMAIL ALERT

We have been made aware of a fraudulent email currently being sent to Chamber members today that appears to be from the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce.

THIS EMAIL IS NOT FROM US. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND, CLICK ON ANY LINKS, SEND MONEY OR TAKE ANY ACTION REQUESTED IN THE MESSAGE.

The fraudulent email looks very convincing and uses our Chamber logo, colors, branding and my name. However, please look carefully at the sender’s email address. The message is coming from an email address that is NOT associated with the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce.

We have included a screenshot of the fraudulent email below so you know what to look for.

If you receive this email:

• Do not reply.
• Do not click on any links.
• Do not provide payment or financial information.
• Delete the message and report it as phishing/junk through your email provider.

Please always check the sender’s actual email address before responding to any message that appears to come from the Chamber, particularly one requesting money, payment or other financial action.

We sincerely apologize for any confusion or concern this may cause. We are taking this matter very seriously and wanted to alert our membership immediately.
