Greetings!
We hope that you are remaining safe and healthy during the Stay-at-Home order issued by Harris County and the City of Houston. T
he order is in effect until April 3, 2020.
Although our staff is working remotely, we continue to update the COVID-19 resource guide and restaurant listing (see below). The following is an update on services we can provide during this challenging time:
- We are answering phone calls and emails.
- Our safety program continues to operate and our officers are patrolling the District.
- Our right-of-way, graffiti and litter abatement services will resume on March 31.
- Greater Northside restaurants, banks, pharmacies and grocery stores are essential businesses and are open. All are required to practice 6 feet of social distancing, which is so important to help keep COVID-19 from spreading.
In this ever-changing situation, we will continue to make decisions based on the best information available provided by federal, state and local governments. We will continue to post updates on our social media.

Understanding the Federal CARES Act
(Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act)

On March 27, President Trump signed the federal CARES Act into effect.
The act expands unemployment benefits, provides immediate help for health care providers and other businesses and includes a one-time payment to the majority of Americans.

As COVID-19 continues to affect the global community, Mattress Mack (Jim McIngvale) and Gallery Furniture are giving back to the Greater Houston area to help mitigate the spread of the virus and to ensure Houstonians have what they need to stay as healthy as possible.

Gallery Furniture has free food for seniors and children at their North Freeway location (6006 North Freeway, Houston 77076) from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, including grab-and-go meals: breakfast with juice, lunch with milk. There must be a child or senior in the car (one meal per person in a car).
Gallery Furniture is accepting these donations at the North Freeway (6006 North Freeway, Houston 77076) or Richmond (7227 West Grand Parkway, South Richmond, Texas 77407) locations:
- Non-perishable food items: Canned soups & goods, tuna, peanut butter, chips, etc.
- Toiletries: Bar soap, gloves, Clorox wipes, baby wipes, toilet paper, etc.
These will be
distributed and delivered to the front door Houston's most at-risk populations, including homebound seniors and disabled citizens.

Indigo Chef to Open
Grocery Store on April 1

On April 1, Indigo chef Jonny Rhodes is opening a grocery store in the Greater Northside (2019 Bennington St, Houston 77093). The market will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
