The LA Fashion District BID has begun outreach with various e-scooter companies represented in DTLA. The purpose of this outreach is to establish and foster relationships with the e-scooter companies that may have the capacity and ability to establish "no riding zones" in strategic areas of the district by using geofencing technology that's available and currently being used in other cities.
The Downtown BIDs recently completed a comprehensive lighting survey that covered most of DTLA. Together, the BIDs reported over 1,000 street lights to the Bureau of Street Lighting that were either out, broken, or damaged. In the Fashion District alone, 143 lights were reported, and of that 143, we've received email confirmations that 82 of the lights have been fixed.
